The Haarlem Organ Museum
The Kunkels Organ Foundation

Welcome to the website of the Haarlem museum of mechanical organs, a museum which is managed by the Kunkels Organ Foundation since 1969.
Our unique collection consists of nine mechanical organs, one of which is the Kunkels Organ, the largest concert organ of Europe! Next to the mechanical organs the museum also provides a home to the Compton theatre organ "Lady Compton". Regularly well known organists give concerts on this instrument.

How does a mechanical organ work? How are organ books made? Why have all organs a different sound?

We will tell and show it all and in our pleasant sitting room-like museum we will, above all, let the organs play for your pleasure.
